Wednesday Bible Study

Good day, all,

On Wednesday September 17th we resumed our midweek Bible Study for the Fall.  We will meet in the parlor, with a Zoom option, at both noon and 7:30 p.m.   The Zoom link is sent out Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning so it is high in your inbox.  If you do not currently receive St Matts email and are interested in the Zoom option, please contact the Church office.

Please note the evening class has moved to an earlier time.  We are hoping this may make it possible for more people to attend.

At the end of last season several people had expressed curiosity over the Creeds of the Church, and why they profess what they do about the faith.  To this end we will be taking a look at these documents which are foundational to the understanding of what it is to be a Christian.

There are three creeds to which we adhere, and each has its own reason for having been written.  They are the Apostles, the Nicene, and the Athanasian Creeds.  Yet each of these has their foundation in statements of faith even older than they are, as all three are based in our understanding of Jesus from the Scriptures.

I hope you will join us in exploring these ancient and yet current texts of the Church.

Pastor Karl
