Introduction to Contemplative Prayer 

Invitation

The mystics of every religion teach meditation and prayer practices that create quiet space for connection to the Sacred. These practices may bring a sense of peace and joy that we can spread to others.  Gather to locate your own place of peace and connection and let in the light of Spring.

Initial Retreat

Saturday morning, April 10th 2021, 9:00-11:00

Share a breakfast snack, connect with one another, and get an orientation to the weekly contemplative prayer practices. We will begin with the first practice Lectio Divina.

Weekly Gatherings

Saturday morningsApril 17th, 24th, May 1st 2021, 9:00-10:00

Introduction to 3 additional contemplative practices – an opportunity to practice these as an individual and in a group setting. Practices that use mind, body and heart to open ourselves to a deeper knowledge of God. A simple breakfast treat will be provided.• Silence• Chant• Gentle Movement
