Rally Day – Sept 7th

Good afternoon, Church,

Tomorrow is a huge day at St. Matthew!

At the 9:30 service we will baptize Nora Sue Hewitt! Nora is the daughter of Thomas and Susanne Hewitt, and the sister of Owen and Faye Hewitt.

AND this is also “Rally Day,” where we rally back to Sunday School after a summer away,

AND we begin our second year of Worship With Sunday School, with the goal of assisting families to make worship and Christian Education a priority in this chaotic, pressured world,

AND we install our Sunday School staff for the year,

AND Rally Day is “God’s Work, Our Hands” Day, a day we do a project to remember our calling to reach out in Jesus’ name to those who stand in need of help.  During the Sunday School time the students will be meeting their teachers, and assembling Personal Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief.  Many thanks to those who donated the materials for these kits!
