July 21st Worship

Good afternoon, Church,

16.000 + Lutheran Youth and Adult Leaders met, learned, prayed, served, and worshiped in New Orleans this past week.  The energy in the space, and throughout the city, was palpable.  The four of us who attended look forward to sharing with you in the near future what we learned, and what this experience was like.  We are grateful for the prayers, and for the financial support, of St. Matthew as we went to this amazing event!

One thing we were told many times is that what we experienced we need to take home with us.  Even though we will not be in worship with 16,000, we need to worship.  Even though we will not be serving with 16,000, we still need to serve, in part because as we serve around the nation we make a greater impact than when we serve in one city for one week.

While we did not have 16,000 in worship today, still we came into the presence of the Most High God to offer thanks and praise for our salvation through Jesus.  A link to the recording of the 10:15 service is available here:

May we all see the world with the eyes of Jesus – living like Jesus, loving like Jesus, serving like Jesus.
