Good Friday Worship
Welcome to Good Friday worship.
This day marks the most somber day of the whole year, as Jesus is offered up as a sacrifice for the sin of the whole world. Yet we call it “good” because all Jesus does is for the good of God’s creation, the people God has made, and loves enough to save.
Below is a link for the worship service for this evening. Those on our email list will be invited to worship together via Zoom at 7:00 p.m. Others are welcome to worship with us at 7:00 in your homes as we all watch and pray together.
For this service there will be a continuous reading of the story of Jesus’ crucifixion from the Gospel according to Matthew. This is not printed in the bulletin, so one will need a bible at hand to read it at home, or if one wishes to follow along on Zoom.
The link to the opening song is intended to bring you into the spirit of this evening. One may listen to it, or pause for silence before beginning worship.
May you be blessed in this holy evening with the powerful love of Jesus.
